Paging Groups are set up in advance. Each group has a name (e.g., Small Town Fire Department) and a list of associated e-mail addresses and cell phone numbers. If someone in the group has two cell phones and an email address in the Contact Methods of their Personnel Record, you could enter all three and that person would be notified all three places simultaneously.
Paging Message Types are also formatted in advance. A pre-formatted message might look like this: “Respond To Incident: {incident code} at {incident address}. Please respond immediately.”
Pages can be sent 1 of three ways:
● Based on Incident Code
● Based on a Command that is tied to paging the Units involved
o Ex: When the command Dispatch is used, all units tied to that CFS will be automatically paged.
● Manually Send Page
