Staff Robbed of Time Prompts Dubreuilville to Choose Vadim

Staff robbed of time on their 15 year old legacy system makes the move to Vadim.

December 10, 2010 Canada, BC, Kelowna – An out-dated, time consuming software system lead to the purchase of the Vadim Software system for the Township of Dubreuilville, Ontario.

“It was time for a change,” says Shelley Casey, Treasurer for the Township, about their 15 year old legacy system. Shelley explains that staff at the Township had been “robbed of time to complete their typical responsibilities because of time spent on system repairs”.

References from surrounding municipalities helped aid in the decision to purchase Vadim. The Municipality of Wawa, one of Dubreuilville’s neighbouring municipalities, has been on the Vadim system since 2006 and told Dubreuilville staff they are “very impressed with Vadim”.

The quality and presentation of the Vadim product also contributed in the decision to purchase the system. The Township’s staff feel the product is user friendly; as well, they like the fact that their system can be upgraded remotely and that Vadim keeps the technology updated as part of the standard support agreement.

The Township is eager to experience the time savings as a result of changing to Vadim. Shelley adds, “a lot of work we did on the previous system was done manually, so we’re looking forward to that being automated.” The staff especially like the reporting capabilities and the export to Excel feature.

The Township of Dubreuilville purchased iCity General Ledger & Budgeting, Accounts Payable & Bank Reconciliation, Purchasing, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Property Taxation, Utility Billing, Cash Receipting and VadimVIEW reporting.
