iCity Enterprise is Installed at First Client Site

The Town of Kapuskasing, ON is going down in the Vadim history books as the first site to test and install Vadim Software’s newest version, iCity Enterprise.
December 29, 2009 Canada, BC, Kelowna - Implementation Specialists Prateek Nagar and Dawn Coad, as well as General Manager Wendy Jarvis, recently visited the Town of Kapuskasing to install the system and train the staff. “They sat down with each staff member and had the person show them what he or she would do in a typical day within Enterprise,” explains Chantal Boyer-Brochu, Deputy Administrator. “Then they worked out any kinks of the software with the employee. It is expected that there are kinks in any new piece of software and we’re glad they were able to use a hands-on approach to fix them. We are confident and happy with the result.”
The staff at Kapuskasing are really looking forward to the ability to open several applications at the same time and export information to Microsoft Excel. “The new Favourites menu is a convenient shortcut that will save us time,” says Chantal.
The biggest change between iCity Version 1 and iCity Enterprise is “definitely the new look,” says Chantal. “Reports and some other tools have moved within the program, which is going to take some getting used to but that shouldn’t take long.” In iCity Enterprise, reports and tools have been better organized so they are easier to find. As well, search tools are now available to find programs.
Chantal continues, “It’s comforting that the program hasn’t changed a whole lot. We still have that level of comfort and familiarity with the software.” She liked the fact that they didn’t have to spend a considerable amount of time and money on training for iCity Enterprise.
“All the people I’ve met at Vadim are so helpful. I’ve never seen employees that are so happy and excited about what they are offering to their customers,” Chantal mentions. “I really enjoy working with Vadim.”
Kapuskasing went live in iCity Enterprise on the late afternoon of Dec 18. In January 2010, Enterprise will be installed at the second client site, the Town of Gananoque, ON.
Vadim has made a donation to the Kapuskasing Public Library on behalf of the Town as a thank you for their patience and generosity through this process.
The Town of Kapuskasing first implemented Vadim Software’s iCity in 2006.
