Niagara Falls, ON Hosts Vadim’s Fall Conference

The Mayor of the City of Niagara Falls welcomes delegates; a record-breaking number of delegates from one municipality was set at this event; and awards were presented for Milestone Anniversaries.

October 29, 2009  Canada, BC, Kelowna – This year’s Southern Ontario Regional Meeting was hosted by the City of Niagara Falls and held on October 21 & 22 at Sheraton on the Falls. Ted Salci, the Mayor of the City of Niagara Falls, made an appearance, provided the opening remarks and personally welcomed everyone to this beautiful city. In fact, two delegates from the Town of Penhold, AB travelled the furthest to attend the conference and a record-breaking number of delegates from one municipality was set at this event – 9 people from the City of Kawartha Lakes were in attendance. Vadim also welcomed registrants from the municipalities in the Muskoka District (Gravenhurst, Lake of Bays and Bracebridge); some of our newest Ontario clients.

All 46 delegates enjoyed 1 ½ days of learning, socializing and networking. A demo of Vadim’s iCity Enterprise (previously called “iCity V2”) was given by Andrew Corcoran, Director of Support & Development; a game of Jeopardy with a client trivia “spin” was hosted by Mel Trebek (aka Melanie Sterling, Business Development Associate); and 12 breakout sessions were offered from Property Taxes to General Ledger to Fixed Assets.

Wednesday evening’s Appreciation Dinner took place at Sandstone Grillhouse where delegates and Vadim staff alike dined on tasty meals while mixing and mingling. This year, the Town Of Aurora and the Township Of Clearview were presented with their 5 year milestone anniversary awards.

Annually, Vadim holds 3 Regional Meetings in Northern Ontario, Saskatchewan and Southern Ontario as well as a BC Seminar.
