Several Thousand Reasons to Choose Vadim

Kelowna, BC  Tuesday, March 10, 2009 –  As does a child outgrow his clothing, The Township of Rideau Lakes, ON, located southwest of Ottawa, has outgrown their municipal software system with their previous vendor and recently purchased the Vadim solution.

By using Vadim, the Township will see a large cost savings of $5,000-7,000 in annual support costs alone. The software support fees with Vadim are half of what the Township used to pay. Another cost savings they have also noticed is a large increase in productivity and speed of tasks, which means less overtime.

When asked what the Township is most looking forward to about the change from their previous system to Vadim, Joe Whyte, Treasurer, replied, “Vadim’s system has a common sense approach; the software makes sense.” He also mentions the efficient processing time, increased performance and the fact that the system is windows based. “The bugs just aren’t there with Vadim which is refreshing. Overall, a superior product.”

The Township’s staff are especially excited about the interim tax billing; they have realized 30-40% in time savings. Joe happily reported that their first time interim tax billing with Vadim was relatively smooth and trouble-free.

Top factors that influenced the decision to move to Vadim were the software’s features and product, price, support, and an existing relationship with Vadim. Joe mentioned, “I feel Vadim really came through on our tight timelines. We are all very happy with the installation. We know it was a huge challenge.”

Located southwest of Ottawa, Rideau Lakes is the hub of eastern Ontario. The Township’s economy is based on farming, tourism and service industries with a population of 10,300. Rideau Lakes purchased iCity General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Property Taxation, Cash Receipting, and VadimView.
